Increasing the visibility of the divine feminine in our world
It shouldn’t be controversial to think of God as a woman. To be frank, I don’t think God has a gender. I think of God as universal consciousness, an energy that infuses all things but I think it’s important for us to portray the divine in male and female forms. When women and women’s attributes are left out of what is considered divine, everything female becomes lesser than and undervalued in our society. What if those qualities and attributes most often associated with women were seen as qualities of the divine? Then, the acts of nurturing, loving, birthing, and nourishing would become the most valuable qualities of our society. It would be a society that valued love over fear and nurturing over dominion and domination.

Make your own Goddess and place Her in a location that is sacred to you! Reach out to us via email at awakengoddessproject@gmail.com and we will send you a label for your goddess to link her to this amazing project and to the other artists and creators awakening the Goddess in our world! Be sure to tell us where your Goddess is located. Coordinates are best! You can get these by dropping a pin in your google map when you are at your sacred location. We will then put you on our map of Goddesses. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see Her all throughout the world?
More Details-
Your Goddess should be uniquely your own. She may be crafted out of any materials that are conducive to being left outside in the elements. Clay works well but statues could also be made from stone, metal, or wood. Please avoid using materials that are not natural such as plastics, styrofoam etc.
Once you have created your Goddess place Her in a location that speaks to you. You may find a crevice in a tree, a bank of a stream with the perfect smooth rock, a lookout point you love to visit. Leave a jar or small trinket box with the label for the Awaken Goddess Project inside. You may also include a mini notepad and pencil inviting others to join this project, write a note, or write some poetry about Her.
